"Responsible travel to natural areas that conserves the environment and improves the well-being of local people."
Ecotourism is about uniting conservation, communities, and sustainable travel. This means that those who implement and participate in ecotourism activities should comply with the following ecotourism principles:

an abundance of flowers and plants

  • minimize impact
  • build environmental and cultural awareness and respect
  • provide positive experiences for both visitors and hosts
  • provide direct financial benefits for conservation
  • provide financial benefits and empowerment for local people
  • raise sensitivity to host countries' political, environmental, and social clima
muchroooms found in MomchilovtsiMomchilovtsi was one of the first villages in the Bulgaria to achieve "village tourism" by producing home made products and to encourage the tourist to take part in the making of the products

These products were then sampled and tasted whilst socialising and enjoying a meal together in a leisurely gathering

 

Typical locally produced food:

meadow grasses jam

lutinitsa (Bulgarian sauce)
yogurt
potatoes
cheese
honey
homemade wines and rakia
